😇 My mom holding a beautiful angel with a bag in the background that says “LIFE is a special occasion” is part of many ironic things about this picture! Wow! To look back at pictures like this of my mother is hard sometimes, but it also makes me smile that I can celebrate my mom and her legacy. 🤗 She was truly the best mom ever and I’m thankful that God saw fit to bless me with his best from conception! ☺️ Honestly, the thought of Mother’s Day has caused me to be up and down emotionally this month. My friend Klare called me one day and per usual, she asked me how I was. I hesitated and said I don’t know. She quickly responded in her confidently assuring voice, you’re ok! It was so reassuring that I truly felt ok and responded, I guess I’m ok then. Lol. I tell you, to know her is to love her. She then said it’s important and ok to acknowledge those moments when you miss your mom, but don’t stay in that place as it can turn into depression. The devil would love for you to lose your focus and dwell in depression. She’s so right! I’m ok and when I think over my life, I truly can say that I am beyond blessed! God didn’t leave me broken!!! I’m truly thankful to all that God has placed in my life and those who have contributed to my life. 💐 Happy Mother’s Day to all mothers and mother figures reading this post. 🙏 May God continue to give you the strength and grace for all the joys and challenges that motherhood brings! May your children arise and call you blessed (Proverbs 31:28). May God grant your heart’s desires and make all your plans (in him) succeed (Psalms 20:4)💖
