“Stay alert; be in prayer so you don’t wander into temptation without even knowing you’re in danger. There is a part of you that is eager, ready for anything in God. But there’s another part that’s as lazy as an old dog sleeping by the fire.” Matthew 26:41 MSG
We need to be consistent in prayer and reading our word, it’s essential. God cannot work with a lazy person, so we have to stay in the face of God and surrender to our flesh! That’s how we’ll receive fresh oil and manna from God. People generally start off strong, but somewhere down the line they become lazy. We want to know more of God, we want fresh revelation and insight. We want him to move in a mighty way in our lives and our loved ones lives, but do our actions reflect that’s what we really want?!? What are we willing to sacrifice so that God’s will and purpose will be done in our lives? It will take work on our part, however the more we get to know him, the more he reveals to us. As we began to see and want more of what God wants, he becomes our strength, our lifeline, our sustainer. Our lives, our hearts and our actions will begin to reflect that of the kingdom of God.

I am the Vine, you are the branches. When you’re joined with me and I with you, the relation intimate and organic, the harvest is sure to be abundant. Separated, you can’t produce a thing. Anyone who separates from me is deadwood, gathered up and thrown on the bonfire. But if you make yourselves at home with me and my words are at home in you, you can be sure that whatever you ask will be listened to and acted upon. This is how my Father shows who he is—when you produce grapes, when you mature as my disciples.” John 15:5-8 MSG
